PIRAHNAS CLAIM 1ST SUPER BOWL. BEAT MAMMACITA 140-108.

A wonderful way to end the season with the 2 best teams clashing for the greatest prize. What we play for....$700.
It started out close, both teams kept up with one another early. Mammacita had the majority of her players starting at 1:00pm, while the Pirahnas had his line up scattered throughout the day. Brett Favre connected on 2 TD passes, and then was pulled from the game. That hurt Mamma's production greatly. Culpepper had a fantastic outing, hitting Marcus Robinson late in the game, and also hitting Moss earlier in the game.
In the prediction I made, that Mamma's RBs would propel her to the victory. The Pirahnas wanted no part of that as Larry Johnson and Thomas Jones exploded for close to 50 points alone, as that WAS the deciding factor, along with a defense Joe started for the 1st time this year,...the Bengals.
Joe's RBs filled in nice for one another as the season moved along. After starting Chris Brown the most part of the start of the season, and then plugging in Thomas Jones & Marshall Faulk  when he got hurt, the Pirahnas made the greatest move of the waiver wire and got Larry Johnson. Chesick had him, and dropped him. BAD MOVE. That was, in my opinion, the move that made Pepe SUPER.
Mammacita gave it all she had. She started the franchise players that got her there. Favre, Barber, Alexander, Moss, New England. A core of players that can get the job done in their sleep. This weekend, they got a wake up call, as the Pirahnas stole their 2nd victory over Mammacita this season, and has been the lone thorn in her side. A great game that had to see someone lose.

MAMMACITA PLANS TO HAVE ALEXANDER BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON.

PLAN ON SEEING ALEXANDER IN MAMMA'S LINE UP FOR YEARS TO COME.

After the defeat on Sunday, Mammacita commented on having Shaun Alexander back for another season as her franchise player. Although nothing is set in stone, contract negotiations were already under way, on Monday, the day after the loss to the Pirahnas in the Super Bowl.

WHEN HE SEES THE PIRAHNAS START TO RUN AWAY WITH THE WIN...

When the season started and the draft was over, Mammacita was the favorite for the season with the line up she drafted. When you looked at Pepe's team, you thought, not bad.
Culpepper solid. Chris Brown unproven. Thomas Jones...ya....like you even gave him a thought. Marshall Faulk...done. Keyshawn Johnson,....has been. Andre Johnson...on the rise.
It seemed as though Joe just didn't have the talent to get the job done. But to take an excerpt from Chris Berman, "that's why we play the games."
Mammacita was the favorite going in as she had power at every position. Even as Favre sat on the sidelines, he still gave Mammacita much needed points.
It just wasn't enough as Thomas Jones and Larry Johnson, themselves, took over the game late in the 2nd games on Sunday. Kristy needed a miracle going into Sunday night. She has Barber who performed very well, but just couldn't amass the 50 points she was down by.
Congratulations to both owners on giving us, THE MOST COMPETITIVE year of fantasy football I have seen in a long time.
